Access Business Technologies Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit

(june 10, 2008)-- Access Business Technologies, the leading hosting and managed services provider in the finance industry, announced the completion of its annual SAS 70 Type II Audit. By completing the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) SAS 70 Type II examination, ABT again confirms it's adherence to one of the most stringent auditing standards for service companies and continues to provide assurance to its clients and partners that its physical, logical and change controls along with its environmental safeguards are sound.

"All ABT clients benefit from our SAS 70 Type II audit beyond the fact that our controls and safeguards are audited by an independent organization," explains Steve Tschoepe, EVP of Operations for ABT, "Our clients routinely save time and money by providing our SAS 70 Type II results to their auditors, thereby satisfying several aspects of their ongoing direct audits. Due to increased regulatory demands including Sarbanes-Oxley, organizations selecting a hosting and managed services provider are more stringent in their due diligence during the selection process. Most of these organizations are aware that it's not enough for a service provider to claim to have SAS 70 audited data centers. Instead they understand that, in addition to data centers, the service provider itself should undergo regular SAS70 Type II audits, as ABT does.
