Orthus Releases SOX Compliant Compliance Management Software Solution
(Sept 13, 2007)-- Orthus announced the release of Version 2 of their popular compliance management software solution - iComply.
The solution which provides the ability to simply and effectively audit, measure and manage a company’s compliance programme was well received following its launch in 2005. It was the first solution to provide a comprehensive framework and foundation to achieve and maintain compliance in a dynamic way - with automated alerts to impending non-compliance. Modular and scalable with multi-tiered management capability and simple visual “at-a-glance” dashboard status views, the solution stood head and shoulders above its competitors in the market.
The new version includes issue identification and remediation tracking, risk and controls mapping and improved document management capabilities as well as audit and multi-entity interface modules that significantly enhance the solution's functionality and effectiveness.
“The latest improvements were as a direct result of customer feedback” says Orthus Director Richard Walters. “When we talked to organisations we found they were struggling with tying compliance management directly to specific business risk decisions. The new version enables you to do just that as well as allow auditors transparent access to the basis for those decisions. The end result is powerful.”
In addition to providing modules for compliance to established standards, regulations and legislation such as DPA, BS7799 (ISO 27001/2) and Sarbanes Oxley, iComply also offers the capability to import company-specific policies and procedures making it an extraordinarily unique solution.
“We saw that there was a growing requirement in the market for a simple tool to help senior management through the compliance maze while addressing the risk to their business at the same time” added Walters. “With this new release of iComply there is now a way to do both efficiently, cost effectively and with reduced complexity.”
