BWise Receives SAS-70 Type II Certification for ASP Hosted GRC Solution

(April 10, 2007)-- BWise, provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software solutions, today announced that the company has obtained Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70, Service Organizations ("SAS 70") Type II certification for its application service provider (ASP) hosted solution.

BWise’s market leading GRC solution is available as a hosted or installed application. For clients using the hosted version, BWise now offers its ASP services with SAS-70 Type II certification, allowing companies to implement BWise online in even the strictest regulated environments, including Sarbanes-Oxley. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has designated SAS 70 as an acceptable method for management to obtain assertions about service organization internal controls and provide assurance for those service organization clients subject to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. This certification gives BWise customers an added level of assurance and security to further protect and leverage their financial resources.
