Coastal Releases a Waterfront Safety Training Series

(May 29, 2007)-- Every Choice Counts is an eight-part safety training series from Coastal Training Technologies specifically targeted to those who work at ports and marine terminals. The topics covered include personal protective equipment, overall readiness to work, preventing drug & alcohol abuse, working around railcars and other vehicles, safe driving, signaling, and hazardous materials. The series is available on DVD and video, and each program comes complete with 10 employee handbooks.

The individual programs that make up the Safety on the Waterfront: Every Choice Counts series contain compelling footage shot on location at marine terminals. In order to improve the safety and well-being of waterfront workers, the training is designed to engage their interest and motivate them to work safely in a challenging environment. Each of the programs meets the intent of OSHA training requirements and best practices for safety on the waterfront.
