AXS-One Bolsters Taiwan Presence Through Strategic Alliance With Region's Leading Systems Integrator
(March 15, 2007) -- AXS-One, provider of high performance Records Compliance Management (RCM) solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with a key new partner, IVAN Information Technology Company, as part of the drive to strengthen its presence in Taiwan and greater Asia. The reseller agreement comes at a time when Taiwanese companies are seeking to better manage data archiving in an effort to meet increasingly stringent compliance requirements propagated in U.S. legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley and the Patriot Act, as well as the latest amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that took effect on December 1, 2006.
Under the terms of the agreement, IVAN, a leading systems integrator and reseller of Hewlett-Packard products, Oracle and SAP and QAD enterprise software, will resell the AXS-One Compliance Platform™ in the Taiwanese market where demand for records compliance management solutions is increasing, but has remained mostly unfulfilled until now.
Initially focusing on system integration and value-added reselling targeting specific vertical markets, the strategic alliance with AXS-One enables IVAN to continue to expand its expertise to include content archiving and electronic records management.
As part of the strategic alliance, IVAN and AXS-One will be conducting a series of seminars to advise Taiwan's enterprises on how to address the changed business environment created by more stringent compliance requirements for electronic data. The events will also focus on strategies to avoid costly legal and regulatory problems related to the retention and management of electronic records. These requirements are stipulated in international agreements such as Basel II as well as in the laws of the countries where Taiwanese firms operate.
The AXS-One RCM Platform offers organizations a highly scalable alternative to the traditional silo solutions that deal with just one aspect of digital information, such as e-mail archival, or that only address primarily IT-related issues, such as storage optimization.
By spanning all types of electronic records, companies can implement secure, scalable and enforceable policies that enable integrated archival, retention, disposition and search of any electronic records, including e-mail, Instant Messaging (IM), documents, spreadsheets, print streams and ERP data.
The AXS-One Compliance Platform enables organizations to implement secure, scalable and enforceable policies that address records management for corporate governance, legal discovery and industry regulations such as SEC17a-4, NASD 3010, Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, The Patriot Act and Gramm-Leach Bliley.
